FOR 2026/27

register for tryouts here
Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club has offered an Elite level of training since the 1980's and continues to grow and provide the best level of training curriculum in the world. The Premier (Competitive) Program is designed to train players who intend on reaching the highest levels in their soccer career and provide them a platform to reach their goals.
The Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club Premier Program is a 10-month program (August to May) providing training and games for male and female players aged 8-18 who aspire to achieve excellence. Our emphasis is player-centric with long-term development the number one priority.
Following extensive review and discussion, US Youth Soccer, AYSO, and US Club Soccer have collectively decided to move to an age group player formation cycle that runs from August 1 to July 31, starting with the 2026-27 season/registration year. This change was made based on additional critical feedback, data, and expert input to better align players with their school-grade peers. Our associations feel that this age group player formation will be the most inclusive and help increase participation.

We will email you the tryout schedule before May 1st.
Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club has received several inquiries about our upcoming tryouts. Here are a few FAQs for you:

Q: When will tryouts for 2026/2027 season be?
A: Tryouts will start May 1st, 2026

Q: What do I have to bring to tryouts?
A: Please make sure to wear a shirt, shorts, soccer socks, cleats and shin guards. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. All players need to check-in at the clubhouse before each session.

Q: What if my child will be out of town during tryouts?
A: Please email us at [email protected] with that information. We will make every accommodation to provide the player an opportunity to tryout either at an alternative date upon his/her return.

Q: How do I know whether my child made the team or not?
A: Dunedin staff and coaches will email out the results of each night’s tryouts to every player within 24-48 hours of each tryout. Should you not receive an email within 48 hours since the tryout, please contact us at [email protected].

Q: How many players will you pick for my child’s team?
A: That will depend on your child’s age group. Generally speaking, teams that play:
  • 7v7 (U8 - U10) will have a roster size of 11 to 12,
  • 9v9 teams (U11 & U12) will have 14 to 15,
  • 11v11 teams age U13 - U15 will have 16 to 20,
  • with U16 - U19 teams having 18 - 24.
The reason for larger squads at older ages is that (a) there are more frequent injuries, especially after the high school season as well as (b) more academic and off-field commitments.

Q: When will the season start?
A: The 2026/2027 season practice start in August 2026. The exact date will be communicated through your coach.

Q: Where will my child’s team practice?
A: Our home facility is 981 Jerry Lake Ct, Dunedin.

A: Yes, every player has the ability to either pay in full or select a payment plan during registration.

Q: Are scholarships available?
A: Yes, we do have scholarships available, an application would be provided upon request.

Q: I received a scholarship last year, do I need to reapply?
