The Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club's Recreational - Fall Soccer Program is for girls and boys, ages 9 to 17 of all skill levels. The GYSA, (Gulf Coast Youth Soccer Association), league will start around October and is a local travel recreational soccer program that ends in February with the GYSA Cup. Practices will be held once per week at our home fields. The program is run by local volunteer coaches. Teams in GYSA will play about half of their games at home, and half at other local clubs.  GYSA tries very hard to ensure the shortest possible travel times for all away games.  However, this is subject to change each year, depending on which clubs enter. Schedules will be released at the end of October and posted/communicated to parents as soon as available.

The DSSC philosophy is to teach the basic of soccer in an environment that encourages fun, while helping the players improve their skills. The cornerstone of Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club's Recreational Program is to teach teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for fellow teammates, referees, and the game of soccer.

Recreational Soccer/GYSA Details

Fall Season:
Practice 1 day per week
NEW: 1.5 hour training session

We are in need of Recreational Soccer Coaches

Our Recreational Soccer Program is successfully executed by parent coaches. No license required, but we do offer reimbursement for grassroots training. All coaches need to pass a Level 2 background check including fingerprinting.
Coaches may coach their own kids' team and will receive a significant stipend towards their child's registration fee.

U14-17

2025 Update for U19
All players born before Aug 1, 2005 must complete the Safe Sport Certification online in order to participate

Fee: $175 ($10 added if registered after GYSA draft on 9/16/2025)

Team Formation:
Co-ed league 6v6
Field players at all times must be 4 boys and 2 girls
Minimum to start the game must be 3 boys and 1 girl
Boys goals are worth 1 point. Girls goals are worth 2 points.

Schedule will be provided by GYSA and communicated to all parents as soon as it becomes available to us.
8 games played between November and February to account for participation in HS soccer season.
Teams in GYSA will play about half of their games at home, and half at other local clubs.  GYSA tries very hard to ensure the shortest possible travel times for all away games.
